We need a change in mindset. MADE IN INDIA must be our overarching national brand. A brand that is more important than our individual organizational brands. In a global business environment, organizations and individuals should celebrate any Indian organization winning a prestigious customer contract or order. MADE IN INDIA should be the winner.

To accomplish this, we should be aware that we are interdependent players in a complex network of businesses, institutions and organizations. Our joint process capability and joint costing should be measured and continuously improved for every key offering from our country. Be it goods or services. That will ensure positive customer perceptions of MADE IN INDIA, globally.

So how do individual organizations meet this challenge? In business, health care and education? By adopting Performance Excellence models, such as the one underlying the IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award (IMC RBNQA).

We are now on the threshold of a digital world. We are seeing the sunrise of digital customers. Global boundaries are experiencing a sunset. Can Performance Excellence therefore be a choice?
