Cummins Engines are used by Indian Railways in DEMU - Diesel Electric Multiple Unit. DEMUs duty cycle needs an Engine to run at low idle when halted for passenger transfer or maintenance. One of DEMU Engine while running at low idle, caught fire due to unburnt fuel through exhaust gas flow.
