It is not difficult to understand why Thai Acrylic Fibre Co. Ltd. has been earning recognition year after year. Its company culture is guided by strong leadership - one that emphasises building character and competence, recognises both change and stability, enhances personal and interpersonal attributes, honours the past while existing for the future, manages things and guides people, is willing to learn what is right and unlearn what has been proven wrong, centres on values and serves both employees and customers.

As far as TAF is concerned, the outcome of effective leadership is simple: it turns aspirations into actions. The company’s aspirations, which are clearly defined in its vision, strategic goals, objectives and plans, focus on the future by visualising the possibilities. Through the company’s strong leadership, aspirations are shared with every employee, and are turned into actions, with everyone working for the same purpose.

TAF’s management believes that to be able to turn aspirations into actions, leaders must be trustworthy. Trustworthiness, according to them, is “established by the concept character x competence”. While character is a prerequisite, successful leaders must also be able to create organisational competence - that can only come from leaders who are able to shape, structure, implement and improve organisational processes to meet a common goal. The leaders are known:

  • Less for what they say and more for what they deliver
  • Less by their title and position and more by their expertise and competence
  • Less by what they control and more by what they shape
  • Less by goals they set and more by mind-sets they build
  • Both for personal character and for exceptional organisational competencies.

Our Values

  • Employees: "Integrity, trust, fairness and honesty form the basis of our strategies, We are committed to a people development process"
  • Customers: "The customer is the focus of everything we do"
  • Government: “We strive to be always a good corporate citizen"
  • Environment, Health and Safety: "We pledge to protect the environment and are committed to the development of the community in which we operate."

More power to the people

TAF regards QC circles as an important activity for Total Quality Management. This is vital in creating a favourable and productive work environment, as well as building a company culture of mutual respect and strong team work. It also encourages the qualitative involvement of all employees in every company improvement endeavour.

TAF’s QC team, bringing pride to the kingdom, won the award in the International QC Symposium 2001 held in Singapore.

Community service activities at TAF include, among others, tree-planting programmes, Mother’s Day celebrations and regular English classes for people in the community.

The customers first
As far as TAF is concerned, the word “customer” does not only mean those who buy its products. The company’s redefinition of the word has grown to include its own employees, suppliers, shareholders and the community. In short, anyone affected by the business is a customer.

A big portion of the company’s products is exported overseas, with China, Indonesia and Nepal as its biggest markets. Incorporating state-of-the-art technology with the most sophisticated quality control system and facilities available, the company works hand-in-hand with customers to deliver excellence.

A gesture of gratitude
With an aim to share its concept of quality with the people outside the company - the community at large TAF recognises its Quality of Life Club as an integral quality tool. The club allows “quality” to penetrate into the personal lives of its employees and the community.
