Role
A Yellow Belt is someone trained in Six Sigma basics. In particular, the Yellow Belt has diagnostic skills to measure, analyze, and improve pain areas in a process.

Most companies have required over 50 per cent of their population to be trained as Yellow Belts.

Yellow Belts serve as team members. The day-to-day role of the Yellow Belts is to identify and diagnose chronic problems in their area of influence.
 
Objectives
To understand the scope and depth of a Six Sigma program
To relate Six Sigma projects to the overall business strategy
To understand the features of the D-M-A-I-C process
To understand the underlying concepts, application and construction of quality and creativity tools
To understand the soft skills required for Six Sigma team work.
