The QualTech Prize competition is open to a variety of methodologies. The accent is on achieving extraordinary results: tangible and intangible in manufacturing, service, education, health care, and IT & ITES categories.
Quality improvement can be achieved using structured methodologies such as Six Sigma, Juran on Quality Improvement, Statistical Problem Solving, Kobetsu Kaizen, and so on.
On the other hand, innovation can be achieved using structured methodologies such as Design for Six Sigma, Quality Function Deployment, TRIZ, deBono Thinking, Design of Experiments, and so on.
In order to extract extraordinary results, it is critical to prioritize the improvement and innovation efforts on processes, so as to maintain the equilibrium between customer delight and positive business growth. |

The QualTech Prize 2007 will be awarded to teams that are recognized as best-in-class, initially by a Team of Examiners and subsequently by a Panel of Judges. The ten prize categories are:

The competition process involves the following steps: |
|
1. |
An applicant team submits a 20 page project report, for a specific category, to Qimpro College. There is no restriction on the number of applications per organization in each category. |
|
2. |
Applicant teams can download a prescribed format for submission of project reports by clicking on Download Now button on the above right hand side of this page. Completed project reports to be emailed to anirudha@qimpro.com |

3. |
Each project report is assigned to three Examiners for individual scoring. A professional from Qimpro College will be one of the three Examiners. |
|
4. |
Qimpro College will short-list the higher scoring applications, by category, and distribute the same to members of the Panel of Judges. |

5. |
The short-listed applicant teams will present their projects to the Panel of Judges, over the course of a one-day event, QualTech Finals 2007, in Mumbai. |
|
6. |
The winners of the competition will be announced and celebrated at an Awards Ceremony in the evening on the same day as QualTech Finals 2007. |

Qimpro will retain copyrights of all project submissions. |

The competition fee for QualTech Prize 2007 is Rs 20,000 per project. Applicants from previous years who wish to re-submit their project reports, may do so for a special fee of Rs 15,000.
The competition fee covers all examination and processing charges. It also includes two complimentary registrations for the QualTech Finals and the Awards Ceremony.
All applicants will receive a compilation of the short-listed projects.
Payment should be made, by demand draft, in favor of "Qimpro Consultants Pvt. Ltd." payable in Mumbai.
